"Neither Do I Condemn Thee"

#4 Hope Beyond the Grave

There is Hope Beyond the Grave.

Jesus is Coming Again!

From life through Death “a sleep” to Eternal Life,

Could the current teachers of Christianity or Islam

Be teaching error about death?

What happens to my body?

When we die do we go straight to heaven?

God says that ye “shall” surely die, but Lucifer the evil one says different. Ye “shall not” surely die

Here are just a few thoughts setting the table before the following studies in scripture

God gave a scathing rebuke to the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees for the false teachings of their day.  Religious leaders of today are also held to a high standard from God within the teachings being presented to their followers seeking God.  If you were living in the day of Jesus and were to teach from the scripture the truth against the leaders of the Church’s teachings and doctrines, you were deemed a heretic punishable of death. This is where Jesus had found himself amongst the people in which He came to save.  Jesus was deemed a heretic.  Our Reformers coming out of the dark ages of Christianity, leading to the Protestant Faith’s, followed their newfound beliefs through the study of the scriptures of God’s word.   Each reformer had pieces of the total picture of God as God would give each Reformer one more piece of Truth to follow from Scriptures. Scorn is what a Reformer would receive, death to a Reformer was certain, being labeled a Heretic, a decree for following Biblical convictions of what freedom dictates lead them away from the corruptions of the Romish Church, The Pope, Catholic Monarchs, Bishops and Roamish Doctrines prior to their separations and death. This is how they became labeled protesters and we became called the "(Protest)ant" Protestant Christians in the faith.

Within the religions of today, Lucifer is still keeping his lies alive through misunderstandings and teaching.

Gen 3:4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  Many religious leaders have a mixture of religious and pagan teachings of today. The God of the Bible is resurrected and alive today.  All other gods died and have not risen.  With the mixing of many religious and pagan teachings, these gods still have followers worshiping and believing their teachings, thinking that they are promised eternal life.  To understand life, we must also understand death and how life and death came about.  Is the absence of death eternal life?  So what is death? What is Eternal life?

1Th_5:21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

The following studies are deep.  I can see and view Satan’s role of false teachings within teachers and religious bodies today.  I personally can with study of the Bible and the Holy Scriptures easily discount the Islam theory of life after death and many virgins as a reward for killing of many nonbelievers of Islam. That is an easy stopper for me.  But as a Christian, do I test by the scriptures what is being taught by bible believing teachers, priests and the clergy of today. Do I see if in fact they are teaching what Jesus has preserved for us in the Holy Scriptures?   Our Reformers coming out of the dark ages over the last 500 years did some tests and found that the Churches leaders in their days were just as fallible in truth as it was within the days of Jesus in that, the Clergy and Priests of today have the possibility of leading individuals to God but still have a flawed message.   Satan still has a grip and presence in our Spiritual warfare within this earth, God has paid the price through the death and Crucifixion of His Son Jesus the Christ, a sacrifice for the redemption of His People seeking Salvation. God has  His children within all the Denominations. But all of the denominations children, may not be His.

There is a false narrative about death that is being kept alive today because of the power of Lucifer; Satin the Devil has teachings within Gods Church.  God gave mankind Through Adam & Eve a choice of life or death.  Lucifer does not give mankind a choice but deceives and demands us to follow him leading to eternal death. (“The second death”)   God says we could have Life if (Adam & Eve) were to have chosen the tree of Life.  God also says that ye “shall” surely die if we (Adam & Eve) choose the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, but Lucifer the evil one says different. Ye “shall not” surely die:   Are my love ones that have passed before into death now alive in Heaven,  looking down on me today and see the misery I am to endure? The simple question is, How would that be eternal life and joy?

I am presenting here examples using the Bible, the Holy Scriptures,  New and Old Testament to show the differences in what our Leaders of today are teaching, and to what God has said,Ye shall surely die

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen_2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Dust + Breath = living

Dust – breathing = death

God

Geneses 3:3

Gen 3:3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden,

God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Gen 3:4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

The serpent also said:

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Gen 3:7  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Gen 3:14  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Gen 3:16  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Gen 3:17  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Gen 3:18  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Gen 3:19  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Dust – breathing = death

Death = Sleep

1Ki 2:10  So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

Be comforted, there is hope beyond the grave: some of these words are read at the grave site during funerals.

1Th 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Th 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Joh 5:28  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Let us start with Lucifer’s Lie

1Co 15:54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

A few people did not die

Heb_11:5  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

        Elijah chariot to Heaven

Elijah represents those who are alive and taken to Heaven at Jesus’ second coming

Elijah did not die

2Ki 2:1  And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

2Ki 2:11  And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Elijah did not die and was not buried with his fathers

Eze 18:4  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

And many of them that slept in the dust of the earth shall awake …

Job_7:21  And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

Job_10:9  Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

Psa_22:15  My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Dan_12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Psa 115:17  The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Psa 6:5  For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Lazarus sleepeth

Lazarus is dead

Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead

John 11:11-14  Joh 11:11  These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Joh 11:12  Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

Joh 11:13  Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

Joh 11:14  Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Joh_11:39  Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Joh_11:41  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

Lazarus is dead.

Lazarus is asleep

Ecc 9:5  For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Psa 115:17  The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Joh 11:20  Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

Joh 11:21  Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Joh 11:22  But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

Joh 11:23  Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Joh 11:24  Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Martha knew Lazarus was dead.

These understandings and beliefs were still held dear this being 4000 years after creation Martha and Jesus understood death, sleep and knew of the resurrection at the last day

Joh 11:40  Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Joh 11:41  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

Joh 11:42  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

Joh 11:43  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

Joh 11:44  And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Psa 6:5  For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Lazarus spoke not of his experience of while he was dead:

Death:

Ye shall not surely die is being taught today

People on earth today are taught they go to heaven as soon as they die.

The serpent’s lie is still being taught today: ye shall not surely die.

Lucifer is teaching today that they are in heaven looking down on us.

Eze 18:4  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Baptism gives hope

Death and Resurrection is also spoke about within one’s being Baptism

(In the context of baptism, symbolically we are dead to sin and alive in Christ)

Rom 6:3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Rom 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Rom 6:8  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Rom 6:9  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Rom 6:10  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Rom 6:11  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Back to the study of death

1Co 15:12  Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Co 15:13  But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

1Co 15:14  And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

1Co 15:15  Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

1Co 15:16  For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

1Co 15:17  And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1Co 15:18  Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1Co 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1Co 15:20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Co 15:21  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's “at his coming”.

1Co 15:24  Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

1Co 15:25  For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1Co 15:26  The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

What about the thief on the Cross?

The original Hebrew (and Aramaic) manuscripts were written without vowels and without punctuation. In fact, most Modern Hebrew is also written without vowels. Vowels are inserted only when necessary to prevent possible misunderstandings.  Not until the eighth or ninth century A.D. did Greek scribes begin to be more or less systematic in the use of punctuation marks.  Punctuation in English is different and more extensive than punctuation in either Hebrew or Greek. The punctuation of English versions of the Bible is dependent in part on the punctuation indicated by the Hebrew accent system and on the punctuation of the Greek text. However thus, the punctuation of English versions is determined by the translators and editors of the particular version. Translators need not feel bound to adopt the punctuation preferred by either the scribe or the editor of the printed text.  Opinions of translators as to appropriate punctuation will sometimes differ. There is no infallible rule to follow; judgments must be based on what seems to provide the fullest and most appropriate sense in the context.

A theological point is involved in the placing of a comma (With the printing press around 1440A.D. The original Hebrew (and Aramaic) manuscripts were written without vowels and without punctuation. And punctuation was not added by the Greek scribes until the eighth or ninth century A.D.)  in Luk 23:43  And Jesus said unto him,Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.  According to the tradition, the way of understanding the passage, the repentant robber asked Jesus on the cross to remember him when Jesus entered His kingdom. To this request Jesus responded, "Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise." In the interest of supporting the doctrine of "soul sleep" held by many, the translators of the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures have moved the comma so that the verse reads, "Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise." But some think surely here the robber knew that Jesus was speaking to him that day, and that the correct punctuation is that of traditional translations. But also, Jesus did not go to heaven that day. Because Jesus was in the tomb for three days, and on the first day of the week;

Luk 24:1  Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Joh 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:

Scripture reads as follows

Luk 24:1  Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Luk 24:2  And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

Joh 20:11  But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

Joh 20:12  And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

Joh 20:13  And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

Joh 20:14  And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

Joh 20:15  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

Joh 20:16  Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

Joh 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

In my study of scriptures, I believe this is the correct understanding that my Jesus spoke.

"Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise."

Because Jesus did not go to Heaven  the same day He spoke hanging on the Cross.

The second coming

Dan 12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Rev 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Rev 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Co 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

1Co 15:51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, “at the last trump”: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Co 15:53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Co 15:54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Co 15:55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

1Co 15:56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

1Co 15:57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is a second death that “we want no” part of

Rev_2:11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; “He that overcometh” shall not be hurt of the second death.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

This says there is a thousand years between the two resurrections

Rev_20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The first death is a sleep.

Rev_2:11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; “He that overcometh” shall not be hurt of the second death

Rev_20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev_21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Do scriptures match what you have learned from our Religious teachers of today?

Are Lucifer’s lies still being taught and alive today?

Because man Through Adam and Eve has chosen sin (Death)

God says that “ye shall surely die”, but Lucifer the evil one says different. “Ye shall not surely die”
